You’re a robot that doesn’t sleep, doesn’t eat, and yet your creator wants you to spend all your free time contemplating the universe. What’s an atomic powered robot to do? If you are Atomic Robo, you find a way to get yourself into trouble (and quite possibly the greatest adventure of all time).
While the time tripping Atomic Robo tales featuring vampires from other dimensions and dinosaurs with a god complex are fun wild rides worthy of many major awards, it’s the supernatural tales that seem to work best.
Red 5 sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of next weeks Atomic Robo: Deadly Art of Science #1.
I’m a bit split on the release of Atomic Robo #4.4 this week. On the one hand, I’m super elated that another Robo issue is upon us, but on the other, I’m sad that this is the last issue for this story arc. Regardless, Red 5 Comics sent over a sneak peek of the issue that you can check out after the jump.
You asked, you demanded, and you begged, resulting in the Major Spoilers Crew cracking open Atomic Robo: The Shadow Out of Time for this week’s show. It is 1926 when H.P. LOVECRAFT comes calling to warn ATOMIC ROBO of imminent doom. But the SHADOW FROM BEYOND TIME escapes into the future, intersecting with our world through the 20th century. The future and history of the universe hangs in the balance as ATOMIC ROBO teams up with, uh, ATOMIC ROBO in a last ditch effort to protect reality itself. As always, the Major Spoilers Podcast is nothing without comments from great…
This week, Atomic Robo returns to the comic book stands, and with him comes the return of Doctor Dinosaur! Red 5 Comics sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of the issue that you can see after the jump!
Red 5 Comics has announced it is collecting the digital comic Box 13 (currently running for free at comiXology’s Comics iPhone/iPod Touch app), into a print collection for the first time. Created by David Gallaher and Steve Ellis, the first Zuda.com contest winners, Box 13 is a re- imagining of the popular radio serial of the same name. It follows investigative author Dan Holiday who has spent the last several years of his life researching the secrets behind the MKULTRA project. His latest book has brought him a degree of notoriety, but a mysterious numbered box left on his book…
It’s a welcome moment when I receive word that the latest issue of Atomic Robo is set to arrive on stands. It’s even better to know that the creative team of Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener still haven’t dropped the ball in their latest Atomic Robo story.
It’s true! Dr. Dinosaur, the surprise hit character from the Atomic Robo Free Comic Book Day edition last year is making a return appearance in the third issue of Atomic Robo and the Revenge of the Vampire Dimension. Not only does the Dr. Dinosaur appearance send this series to the top of my read pile, but the title for this fourth volume kicks all kinds of ass. I wonder if Atomic Robo ever teamed up with the likes of Buckaroo Banzai, Jack Burton, or Doc Savage? via Atomic Robo
Red 5 Comics sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of Drone #2, and We Kill Monsters #6. Both titles arrive in stores this week (January 6, 2010).
Red 5 Comics has sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of next week’s Beautiful Creatures #2.
If you are looking for a perfect holiday gift, then Red 5 Comics has you covered, as it is releasing all three volumes of Atomic Robo in December.
If you’ve been following all things Atomic Robo, you’ve known that there have been hints and fuzzy photos that indicated an Atomic Robo statue was on the way. Now it’s official, as Brian Wegener sent word that the units are shipping right now! These are pretty small statues, standing just under 5-inches high. Only 250 are being made, and since I just bought two of them, there are now at most 248 remaining. Tech specs, and a picture gallery, after the jump!
