7) ATOMASTER
“Reimagined” can mean a lot of things, especially in the arena of old-school publishing. Created by Jerry Robinson (also known as the co-creator of Robin and The Joker while working on Batman at DC), Atoman appeared in two issues of his own comic in 1946. Four years later, his first adventure was reprinted (with new costume colors and an altered name) by Metropolitan Printing Company as Atomaster. Metropolitan also reprinted Green Lama comics as “The Green Jet”, as was common practice in those days. Whether or not they actually had the rights to the material being printed is unknown.
