After years stalking the night with brightly colored Robins by his side, Batman decided to change things up. Duke Thomas (who was part of the Robin army in ‘We Are Robin’) joined the Bat-Family to handle matters during the daylight hours, but taking a role similar to Robin’s. Duke represents an upgrade from the usual Batman sidekick not only because he has metahuman powers, but because his costume includes armor and a crash helmet, upgrading from Dick Graysons leotard and pixie boots.
