This week, Star Trek celebrates a major milestone in its history. We realize there are those who have never watched the original series, and who despise everything having to do with pointy-eared devils, red shirts, and screaming your enemy’s name at the top of your voice when your best friend bites it. Likewise there are people that love the social commentary, cheesy effects, and rehashed story lines in their major motion picture release. This week, we ask the question, “Do you love Star Trek more than you hate it?” VOTE! [poll id=”353″]

I love it when fine Spoilerites (like you) write in with comments and suggestions about the site, or offer up an idea for the Major Spoilers Poll of the Week. The big rumor circulating around the Internet this past week is that Disney is going to release the original unaltered cuts of A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi on Blu-Ray. While the promise of seeing Han shoot first again, may sound exciting, there are a number of people who prefer the cleaned up special effects, enhanced visuals, and the inclusion of Jabba the Hutt in A New Hope. For the last couple of weeks, BOOM! Studios teased us with conspiracy theory teasers for its upcoming Deep State series. As a younger man, I devoured everything Art Bell served up, and wild tales of Bigfoot, Area 51, and the Illuminati holding secret meetings at Old Navy had me enthralled with the mystery of the unknown. The release of Guardians of the Galaxy, and the subsequent success of a bunch of D-lister character, has us wondering how recognizable characters are. Fortunately, Guardians of the Galaxy opens this weekend, and we are excited about seeing it! VOTE! [poll id=”347″]
This week, the San Diego Comic-Con will occupy our every waking moment. The hope is some big news will drop that will break the Internet (The Rock as Shazam or that Johnny Depp will be Doctor Strange). Though there will be a lot of big moments, there may be more disappointments than joyous rapture. VOTE! [poll id=”346″]
With the Guardians of the Galaxy just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about who you want to dress up for your frightful festivities. Two particularly creepy costumes are those with the masks for Rocket Raccoon and Groot. VOTE! [poll id=”345″]
