I Declare War has released on all VOD platforms as well as in theaters today. In order to drum up some extra recognition for the film, Drafthouse Films has released the first five minutes onto YouTube. From directors Jason Lapeyre and Robert Wilson, I Declare War is a sort of fantastical film about a group of kids running around outside playing war. The fantastic element comes in as the viewer seeing thing as the children playing imagine it to be. The film is a bit brutal and has some adult-oriented language, even in this clip, so be warned if that may cause you issues.

Sounds interesting, and I really like the concept.
I actually have a similar concept in a script I’ve been working on for a possible web movie for a while, and I think I may have even mentioned it on the forums a year or so ago, but I’m not sure. It is a somewhat similar concept, except instead of playing war the kids are playing superheroes and the majority of the film would be from the perspective of the kids imagination (with older actors portraying the kids in their imagined superhero guise) with occasional small clips of others (mostly adults) seeing the kids being kids. But unlike this movie, it is more of a comedy.
