Cool fight, I’m curious why Brian is playing Torq and why he sounded just like Matthew ;-)
Quick question for Rodrigo: the goddess the tifling serves and the tifling’s name, how are they spelled? And what is she the godess of?
Dunno about the tiefling’s name but the Goddess is right out of the PHB. No fancy new dress for this one:
“ERATHIS (Unaligned)
Erathis is the God[dess] of Civilization. She is the muse of great invention, founder of cities, and author of laws. Rulers, judges, pioneers and devoted citizens revere her. Her laws are many, but they are straightforward:”
(her rules basically are:)
– Work with others to achieve your goals. Community > Individual
– Tame the wilderness and defend civilization against darkness
– Explore new ideas, lands, etc. Build machines, cities, and empires.
Thanks #2, thanks Rodrigo.
The Tiefling’s name is Bao Bel-Bina.
Oh yeah… I remember it sounded like a Star Wars name. :)

Them’s the nature of odds, son. Even Kenny Rogers can’t win ’em all…
But he does make a darned good roast chicken. *nods*
Nice Hellraiser nod Matthew. I laughed out loud, then laughed harder when no one else got the joke. Keep up the Crits.
The McDonalds cup reminds me of the question everyone REALLY wants to know:
What are the Critters’ favorite snacks? What shows up at the gaming table the most often?
The masses await with anticipation.
How does a red d8 feel orange and about the shield that you can put on Randus’ arm, if he survives Rodrigo’s torture until paragon path he can take the Self-Forged path considering he already has a robotic arm and on top of that he put a shield on the arm at lvl16 and take a heavy arm shield that lets hold something in that hand with the shield.
Nice episode.
Ket is really starting to grow on me.
A DM question: In a game I run I sort of accidetly gave a player this
Repulsion Armor Level 2+
Inlaid with esoteric runes, this armor can repel even though
most persistent foes.
Lvl 2
520 gp
Armor: Leather
Enhancement: AC
Power (Daily): Minor Action. Whenever an enemy moves
into an adjacent square, you can push that enemy 1
square as an immediate reaction. This power lasts until
the end of the encounter.
And now he is completly Over Powered.
He pops this baby on, the team takes out all ranged monsters and he is invincible.
Can this be true?
Keep up the good work – pleace.
My guess, you’re probably playing the immediate rules incorrectly. You can only make a single immediate action per round. So from the end of your turn to the start of your turn, you get one use of the armor. Secondly, it is a daily power to turn the armor on, give ’em more than one encounter in the day and the armor is just normal armor for one of those. If the players stop for a full extended rest after each encounter, surprise them during the rest, and keep in mind that the rules do state you can only benefit from an extended rest once every 18 hours.
Rob
Thx Rob, I was not aware of the “only 1 immediate reaktion pr. rund”.
Whip it up!
Rob is right, but on a different note I’m concerned about “The team takes out all ranged monsters”.
Really? is this a primarily ranged party? Do you just put your artillery monsters right there in the thick of things?
Is Torq still wearing his Razor armor?
Btw, I loved Stephen roleplaying his combat decisions at the beginning of the fight, seemingly making decisions as a young wizard running toward combat without a clear view of the battlefield – not as a player who’d had most of a round to think of optimal strategic/tactical decisions, with no fog of war.
Is Torq still wearing his Razor armor?
He is… Occasionally, I forget to utilize it’s reflexive powers when critted against, but it’s still there. (I’m also working my way up to remembering my 1/2 Orc resiliency more than 3 times out of 5.)
Brian’s bad luck is infecting everyone.
Matthew is already sick with it, then Rob won’t be able to roll higher than a five. (Steven is already having trouble with his d4).
Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Steven aka Orem you can perfectly see that the Feywild is screwed up beyond repair DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Get Rodrigo to take you back there but it is jacked man
Are there any spell-summoned or item-based companions that do not work off of the summoners actions?
There are. The Druid summons take an action on their own if your turn ends and you didn’t give them an order. However a lot of them can be problematic since the effects aren’t always 100% beneficial, for instance one might charge the nearest CREATURE, rather than the nearest enemy.
Also, the Wizard does have some online based demon type summons which have the same basic function, though they of course are even more likely to hit creatures instead of enemies.
Thank-you. One other question if you have time – any advice on how to work thieves “disarm traps” into a skill challenge?
or in a broader sense – is it possible to have specific characters with specific skills take preset challenges – or are you better off just running it in normal mode and see how the party handles it?
Yes, if you’ll recall when the party first landed on the moon, and they were booking it out of the Exilarchy, Torq and Smith got knocked out of the ship. And although I didn’t specifically say so, the implication was that they had to get themselves back on. So yes, you can have specific tasks within skill challenges, just make sure that
A) You’re not too heavy handed with them and
B) You’re willing to roll with it if a player decides to do something different.
