Recently we have seen some controversy with people claiming the “geek” title for themselves, and the backlash it causes when other people feel they don’t deserve it. The sad fact of the matter is that we live in a world where being exposed to radioactivity will kill you rather than allow you to grow 50 feet tall and shoot energy beams from your eyes. But what if we didn’t? What if we lived in the crazy world of comic book superheroes? Who, then, would the heroes of this world be? We could certainly guess, but fortunately we don’t have to. Since comics are always pretty specific about who gets to become a superhero. The signs are there, you just have to put it all together.

I’ve always had a complicated relationship with the My Little Pony franchise. I always really liked them aesthetically and spent a good deal of time trying to convince my sister to let me play with the ones she had. The ponies often became mounts for He-Man and Nien Nub, and my sister was OK with it as long as I was willing to let her play with Teela every once in a while. But when it came to the animated shows I usually found them saccharine, trite and even disingenuous. Which was sad because I always liked the toy design.…

Not only that, but they are saying that the consumers will be much more involved with the product, attempting to “…build a set of D&D rules that incorporate the wants and desires of D&D gamers around the world.” But what does that mean for you?
