Jem is truly outrageous, and the news that the live action movie is landing in theaters next year is good news. Let’s hope the movie is worth the wait.
According to Universal, Jem and The Holograms will premiere on October 23, 2015, a mere 371 days from now. Like the animated television show, the movie will feature the tale of a young woman (Jem), who transforms into a pop star thanks to a pair of high-tech earrings. With the popularity of Hatsu Miku, I wonder how much of rock star Jem will “borrow” from the virtual singer.
Jem and The Holograms stars Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Hayley Kiyoko, Juliette Lewis, Molly Ringwald and Ryan Guzman.

Why am I so excited for this? The actress playing Kimber is young enough that my crush on animated Kimber cannot transfer without me being considered a pervy old lady.
