James Deen (adult star and co-star of The Canyons) is also the producer of the steampunk western, Cowboys & Engines. The short premiered at the San Diego Comic Con, and now, as it finishes its successful Kickstarter campaign, he’s released a new trailer for all to check out.
Written & directed by Bryn Pryor, Cowboys & Engines stars Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica), Walter Koenig (Star Trek) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange). This ambitious steampunk adventure follows Cade Ballard (Hatch), a war-weary former ambassador from the nation of Texas as he meets Guinivere Wheeler (Libby Letlow), a woman who proves to be as dangerous as she is charming.
When they encounter Professor Nicholas Timéon (Koenig), and learn that his temporal engine, a machine with incredible destructive power, has been stolen by would-be conqueror Dr. Clay (McDowell), Cade and Guinivere set off to save San Francisco from total destruction.
