It’s a sci-fi western with a giant primate in it!
SIX-GUN GORILLA #1
Writer: Simon Spurrier
Artist: Jeff Stokely
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $3.99
Welcome to “the Blister” — a bizarre other-world colonized by humans sometime in the 22nd century, which quickly became a hotly-contested source of fertile land and natural resources long ago exhausted on Earth. In this new frontier, a rogue gunslinger and his companion wander across a wilderness in the grips of a civil war, encountering lawlessness, natives, and perversions of civilization in a world at the crossroads between the past and the future. The fact that said gunslinger is a bio-surgically modified silverback gorilla toting a pair of enormous revolvers is neither here nor there.

For those interested parties, I would have commented and voted but I’m behind on my podcasts.
For the record, I would have said A1.
Also, here is a fun read about the original Six-Gun Gorilla:

This pistol-packin’ simian is going to have a little company this summer:

Yup. That’s right. TWO Six-Gun Gorilla comics. At the same time. What are the odds!? The first issue is available as a digital download for $1.99 at:

I just got my first review at the Ain’t It Cool News Comic Review page:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/62721#9
“Cartoonish by only a pinch, the story does a great job of walking that line of being too fantastical, yet has just enough realism to make you understand that this is a story with heft and emotion.”
The lads at COMIC BASTARDS also had a few things to say about it:

This is obviously a case of what Hollywood refers to as “parallel development” (i.e. VOLCANO and DANTE’S PEAK, ARMAGEDDON and DEEP IMPACT, etc.). As for my 6GG, it’s just a straight-up, old-school Western comic.
Cheers,
B
