In this day and age of low press runs and mega-comic-corps blasting out tons of issues, it’s good to see the little guy get their moment in the sun.  Hays Entertainment has announced Leviticus Cross #1 sold out at the distributor level, and went so far as to claim the second issue is outselling the first.

Rodrigo reviewed the first issue on the Major Spoilers Podcast, and it appears it is the word of mouth and marketing campaign set up by Hays Entertainment is working out for the company.

“Every retailer received a preview of all five issues,” explains Leviticus Cross creator Seth Hays. “Having the entire series completed was something we wanted to guarantee the store owners and the fans. We’re happy that our efforts are paying off and that the readers are enjoying the book.”

Issue #2 drops in January, but you can take the jump and see a sneak peek today.

Title: Leviticus Cross: Shadows of the Heart
    Issue number:2 of 5

Corruption and betrayal is far worse when it comes from those we trust. There is definitely more than meets the eye with the young Shadow. Despite her heroic antics, she has a bit more to prove before the people will think of her as more than a menace and an outcast. For now, her true identity must remain hidden. However, trouble bigger than any monster threatens the kingdom of Leviticus Cross. Shadow can’t help but get involved, but is she risking too much?
