Hopefully the alphabet headline hasn’t thrown you into a tizzy, but the good news is NECA, the company that has recently acquired the licensing rights to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will offer a show exclusive at the New York Comic Con.

Peter Laird, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will be appearing at the NECA booth on Saturday, April 19th, from 1PM-3PM, signing a New York Comic Con Exclusive Edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Box Set. This set contains all four Ninja Turtle action figures, plus additional accessories and diorama bases. This exclusive, limited to just 500 pieces, will be the only version of the box set to contain all the additional accessories from the single-carded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series 1 – in stores this May.

The exclusive will set attendees back $50.

Take the jump for the box art.

Umm… no. These are the Turtles in their original comic incarnation, before they color-coded them for the cartoon. In their initial appearances, all four Turtles wore red bandannas…

NECA is also putting out a set that is “black & white”, I’m not sure if it’s exclusive to a ‘con or retailer, but pictures are floating around on the Interweb of them. I’m tempted to run up to NYCC just to grab one of these sets.

I’ve seen those, they look pretty cool – not as cool as jack burton, but hey. For some reason I thought I had those images on the site, but guess I don’t.
