If you are one of the lucky few to be in New York next week, don’t forget the annual Toy Fair will be going on from February 17 to the 20th. I really wish I could go because I’m very excited about seeing the next way of the DC Universe Classics figures, including the giant build a figure Grundy.
One of the surprising figure sets that continue to be released is the JLU figures from a television series that has been off the air for a couple of years. I always make a beeline to the toy aisle of the local Target every chance I get to see if the latest figures are on the shelf. Unfortunately, the local Target is an hour and a half away as my little town only has a Wal-Mart, which does not carry any DC action figures (THOSE BASTARDS!).
While we probably won’t be seeing figures based on those above, the custom figures created by Jason Brashear do make me wish Mattel would continue to keep the series going until every single DCU character is released.

Man, I saw that pic and got excited! Then I read the last paragraph and was sad again.
What is the deal with Wal-Mart not carrying the DC series anyway? Did they feel they got to burned on the Batman and Superman Animated stuff or what?
Who is the guy that looks like Desert Test tube batman ?
Cat-Man is my guess.
I can’t remember which action figure blog I saw it on, but they’re coming out with a JLU version of The Question. My pants are wet with anticipation. My holiest of holies in my JLU collection has to be The Vigilante. Pure bad-ass … and he was voiced by Capt. Malcom Reynolds.
I attempted to get a press pass for Toy Fair 08 and was struck down by their media people. Apparently they don’t think too highly of comic/genre blogs named after obscure Star Trek IV references.
I’m pumped for the coverage, I can’t wait to see the new JLU line and what HASBRO is going to do with the 25th Joes which I have been scouring for at an insane rate. Maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll start pumping out the USS Flagg?
