Review: Doctor Who – The Forgotten #3 (of 6)

Or – “Happy Thanksgiving From Planet Gallifrey!” Here’s the issue I’ve been waiting for, folks, with my favorite and least-favorite Doctors both in full effect.  I think I’ve referenced my love of the Fifth Doctor before (notably in the most recent Major Spoilers Podcast) and it’s a tenet of Doctor Who fandom that the first Doctor you encounter tends to be your favorite.  David Tennant and I agree that Peter Davison’s rendition of the character is number one, but will this issue live up to my childhood memories?

Time to get them out of here.” The sale includes limited editions and signed copies,…

Ben Templesmith on Doctor Who

It seems like we’ve been coving a lot of Doctor Who over the last week, and or good reason; it’s a good show, a great character, and the fanbase love him.  IDW has been doing Doctor Who comics for a while, but now it looks like Ben Templesmith might be jumping on board. Check his blog for a great picture of Martha Jones. via Ben Templesmith

Review: Locke & Key #6

Or – “I Always Liked His Dad’s Stuff…” So, there are a lot of comics being printed these days, in a lot of different genres, and even I (with a pretty large budget and a tiny bit of discount) can’t afford to follow them all.  This is one of the books that I regret not getting in on the ground floor of…  I guess I had the same misconception here that I did about ‘The Umbrella Academy,’ that we were looking at a case of stunt-casting to sell books.  Turns out that pigeonholing this book caused me to miss a…
