Once Joss Whedon surprised everyone at the Marvel Studios Hall H panel Saturday night by announcing the Avengers sequel would be titled Avengers: Age of Ultron, it seemed that the mid-credits teaser of Thanos lurking around had all been for naught. Though not it has been confirmed Thanos will be in a movie, just not Avengers like we had believed.
In an interview, Kevin Feige confirmed that Thanos will be in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy flick.
I think somebody on the Guardians panel let loose that Thanos is a part of the movie, which he is. Thanos plays a part in Guardians, as the mastermind. He very much exists on nearly another plane from any of the other characters, and we have big plans for him over a long long time.
Now if we take this little bit a news and combine it with the response Vin Diesel gave when asked about future Marvel movies,
There is some very big news coming at the end of this month. Poor Marvel. Poor, poor Marvel.
we can start to draw the line between the two. Of course, Vin Diesel playing Thanos is all complete guess work at the moment, I won’t be shocked when it if officially announced later this month.
What are your thoughts about Thanos being moved to Guardians of the Galaxy? If Thanos is involved with Guardians, but is already in the plans for future projects, could this mean a defeat for the team? I’m sure that you have thoughts so share them below!
