I’m from the Midwest, a strange place where you can usually find at least one person in your field of vision dressed as a cowboy. Admittedly, a few are employed as such, but most times not. Just once, I’d like to see another mythic figure walkin’ around, like a samurai, La Llorona or Babe Ruth, but at least the ten-gallon hats and pearl buttons lead us to a qualitative assessment of the fictional cowboy and also today’s train to San Antone query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) doesn’t remember the guy’s name, but some people call him Maurice, asksing: Who’s the root’nest, toot’nest Fictional Cowboy of all, yeehah?

Weird west stories are my thing, so Jonah Hex.
Today my answer will be Sheriff Walt Longmire. He shows that you can carry the cowboy tradition into a modern setting. Ask me tomorrow, and I may tell you different.
