    Another Saturday, another day of marching band competition for the Widget, which by extension means for the entire family.  I have to admit, I enjoy seeing the kids, all walkin’ around and playing their cornets and whatnot, and some of the concepts and choreography are amazing, but sometimes I just kinda miss my old Saturday Activities.  Y’know, sitting in my comfortable chair and playing ‘Grand Theft Auto’?  But, as Super-Chicken said to his sidekick Fred, I knew the job when I took it, leading to today’s day-off query…

    The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that, if you’re a Future People and see this post on a day that’s not Saturday, you can go with NEXT Saturday, asking: What will be YOUR Saturday activities?

    Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now...
