6) THE CANUCK
An aquatic character, The Canuck is one of the NHL Guardians, and uses his shape-shifting cape and underwater maneuverability to defend… hockey… I guess? The Guardian Project was the brainchild of Stan Lee, who created superhero versions of all the National Hockey League mascots, even though I’m not sure what “Canuck” has to do with summoning whales and swimming at high speed. (‘Canuck’ is a slang term for a Canadian; Canada Day celebrates the union of multiple territories by the Constitution Act of 1867, and is generally observed on the first of July.)
