    Just a couple of years after Risk’s lost arm in ‘Infinite Crisis’, DC Comics felt the need to up the ante in the pages of the worst comics series in their history, ‘Justice League: Cry For Justice.’  Roy Harper’s return to action in response to his mentor, Green Arrow, going all Punisher with Hal Jordan, only to end up in the crosshairs of Prometheus.  Slicing off his arm is only the half of it, as Prometheus also implanted the nerve endings with flesh-eating nanites, blew up the city and killed Roy’s daughter.

    For certain characters, I welcomed the universal reboot of the New 52.

    Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.

      I was just looking up Old Man Logan, now that was ridiculous – eating Wolverine should be on here… but also the indigestion afterwards. Very wrong.
