7) PANTHA LOSES HER HEAD
Another moment from Infinite Crisis, indeed from the same sequence as Risk’s dismemberment. Normally, I wouldn’t have included both, but two things make this one cry out for inclusion: First, it’s a step beyond the usual Geoff Johns motif of “stabbed from behind” or “sudden dismemberment”, making it stand out even among the myriad deaths of IC… Second, and perhaps more awfully, it’s actually an accident on the part of Superboy Prime, a character whom we’re late expected to feel empathy for. Either way, it’s utterly terrible…

I was just looking up Old Man Logan, now that was ridiculous – eating Wolverine should be on here… but also the indigestion afterwards. Very wrong.
