Cast the bones, read the tea leaves, and look at the wax in your water to read into the latest news from the Justice League set – Ben Affleck has become an executive producer of the Justice League movie directed by Zack Snyder.
The Oscar winner will not only serve as the executive producer, but will continue his role as Batman, and work with screenwriter Chris Terrio on the script, in addition to sharing his thoughts during post-production. Though Batman v Superman has grossed more than $865 million worldwide, many still think the movie was a failure, which may be why Warner Bros. is giving Affleck so much control over Justice League: Part One and the upcoming Batman movie.
What is rather odd is this news comes weeks into the production of the Justice League movie, which is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017.
In the last decade, Affleck has become a rather respected director/scriptwriter, and this news could be a very good thing for the movie. Right?
