Great podcast, very informative.
Here is a fantastic review of Sunshine https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z_kyu4JhlXI
I think you may actually like the film. It’s a lot deeper them the summary you guys read on the podcast.
My Idea for a catastrophe movie would be an extinction level asteroid hitting China. You can have americans trying to build a shelter for enough of humanity to survive.
I’d strongly urge you guys to watch Sunshine. It’s a beautifully shot move (the effects of the Sun are amazing). Plus it operates on a few levels, apart from the mission itself – madness, sacrifice etc all play a part in it. Plus it doubles later as a horror movie in space, which we all love.
Kylie Minogue (you pronounce the ‘g’) rose from a soap opera here in Australia called Neighbours, before making the jump to pop music (via The Locomotion) here and in the UK. She has made some movies, but her acting skills aren’t what you’d call stellar. Beloved by most Australians, she’s considered an icon here. She may’ve featured in the closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
And that’s way too much information!
Loved this podcast, loved the discussion, I feel your pain about idiots in the cinema, and loved Zach’s America, America, F yeah! at the start.
I had to pause the podcast just to ask this: YOU DON’T KNOW WHO KYLIE MINOGUE IS ZACH???
I can undertand if you don’t like her music, but no to KNOW her??
Now that I got that out of my system I can continue listening.
