Kill Six Billion Demons
Thanks for reading Kill Six Billion Demons. The comic will be on hiatus until the end of January 2022 as I am very shortly expecting the birth of my first child. I have some short thoughts regarding this update you can read on my twitter here (it’s also the best place to follow for updates w/ the comic and schedule).
Kill Six Billion Demons is a New Weird fantasy webcomic started in 2013 featuring a young woman named Allison who is suddenly wrapped up in an adventure with an angel through an eldritch land filled with monsters, demons and gods.

Ha ha ha Matthew I got the “We need more villans” joke.
This was a fantastic episode. Pleace keep op the good work.
The comments on Convergence not selling is interesting as it really says to me more people feel like I do.
I dropped X-Men with battle of the Atom, I dropped Guardians of the Galaxy as it started to get all crossovery I dropped all my DC Books(Batman and Aquaman) when the War thing happened. At this point the only book I read weekly from the Big Two(kind of) is Astro City and I have a list of around 10 books.
Convergence and Secret wars are something I have no interest in because they just look like a big mess to me as someone not super deep in the hype machine. I only have so much to spend and it will be going to go to Chew, Autumnlands or Samurai Jack rather than Batman Super Secret Mystery Special #1 as to me these have no real value(story wise) and are just so short I feel like my money has been wasted. Similar story with secret wars but not going there as there is just too much going on that I feel almost extorted if I want the whole story.
For those interested Dr Strange:The Oath is available with Marvel Unlimited as well
On the nostalgia subject, I’m one of the new readers brought in with the new 52. I was a reader of Franco-Belgian comics and Manga before and it made me dip a bit (buying 3-5 comics a month). I don’t have any nostalgia for those characters and I have no way to access those continuity for an affordable ammount (Marvel Unlimited style) So I’ve stayed away from Convergence waiting for Batgirl to come back (read some of it but the stories are a bit too predictable and boring if you don’t have any pre-existing emotional attachment to the characters).
I hope Secret Wars doesn’t break too much of those fun comics like Unbeatable Squirrel-girl and Silver Surfer that Marvel is putting out lately and leave a room for me.
The main reason I haven’t bought many of the Convergence comics is because I don’t want to pay 4 dollars for a 19-22 page comic. As a whole they upped every single one of these comics to that price and I refuse to buy. I hope this failure gets them to drop their prices back 2.99 or less. Even the comics that I normally would jump at, I’m waiting the 8 weeks to purchase them on Comixology.
