A lot has been said about the Man of Steel this past week. We’ve had a couple of reviews (both text and video), and featured a place where you could share your thoughts on the movie. Online there is also a lot of talk about the pros and cons of the film, with some absolutely loving it, and others loathing it. We’ve heard all the good and all the bad, but today, it’s about your fellow movie goer. [poll id=”289″]
Last November, director Carlos Fresnadillo’s left the Highlander reboot. Now, Ryan Reynolds, the man slated to be the new Connor MacLeod, has walked as well. This leaves Summit Entertainment in a bit of a predicament and the Highlander franchise back in pre-production limbo. Of course, this may also help their chances of finding a new director as they will get to make their own choice of star. My take on this, while I’m disappointed that in the loss of Ryan Reynolds, maybe we should go with a lesser known try to carry the film on its own, without the name…

In two weeks, Zach on Film will examine Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. As a lead up to the discussion, take a gander at Jamie Benning’s Inside Jaws, a documentary/commentary/filmumentary of the movie. It’s over two hours long, so make sure you have some time set aside to watch this project.

The first time the PistolShrimps put Batman in movies, it was a really fun, and took the Intardwebz by storm. The group is back with another round of the Dark Knight in well known flicks. The best has to be the Casablanca scene.
I’ll be completely honest – I have no idea or desire to learn more about Minecraft (mainly because I’ve reached the limit of what I can do and get done in a regular day), but I do get a kick out of those who take the time to force pop culture into the land of blocks.
I honestly forgot today was Father’s Day until my kids showered me with homemade gifts and cards.
Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer, with some help from Christopher Nolan, team up to bring their vision of a modern Superman tale, and what may possibly be the start of a DC cinematic universe. The trio all have experience in making great movies starring cape donning protagonists, so this outing should be no different. Find out if they repeat success with the big, blue boy scout after the jump! (Spoilers below).
