Imagine Mad Men if it were about the crew of a live television Star Trek knock off and you have Satellite Sam, the latest creator owned work out of Image, by Matt Fraction and Howard Chaykin. The premise of a comic about the production of a television show has lots of potential. Other mediums have had lots of success with the same concept, such as with the show Sports Night. The trio all have experience in making great movies starring cape donning protagonists, so this outing should be no different. DC has started a new trend in mainstream comics with their digital first, weekly mini-comics that then get collected into bigger print issues. One of these weekly series is Adventures of Superman, an anthology series that tells a different short story every week by a different creative team. Sometimes you just want a break from the usual Marvel or DC superhero fare, and when those times come one looks toward the smaller publishers. This time I set my gazes on Dark Horse Comics and in its dark eyes I saw Dream Thief.
