Those famous Max Fleischer Superman cartoons from the 1940s have been in public domain for years, causing many cheap versions to be passed around. Fortunately, Warner Home Video is collecting the original 17 shorts and releasing them on a two DVD collection in April 2009.

Man I wish our crappy cable system had the real BBC so I could watch the new Doctor Who Christmas Special. I’ll have to comfort myself with BBC America, where I’ll be able to watch three back-to-back episodes of Doctor Who, including the 2006 Christmas Special beginning at 4:00 PM EST.
We’ve some really amazing fan films, but this one goes way over the top. The people at WormyT have spent a great deal of time culling clips from some great action films (Hugh Jackman from X-Men for example), and cat-ized each clip with a bunch of rotoscoping and CGI enhancements. The result? I pretty believable Thundercats trailer that will probably get the Interweb Nets all a twitter over the next couple of weeks over the possibility of a real Thundercats movie.

Marvel Animation has posted the episode rundown and descriptions for the upcoming second season of The Spectacular Spider-Man. There was a huge amount of buzz over season one (we even reviewed it on the Major Spoilers Podcast), and season two looks even better.
