    A recent rewatch of Scott PIlgrim Vs. The World has reminded me of one undeniable fact:  Every one of the people in that movie is awful, except for poor Knives.  Scott?  Wallace?  Julie?  Kim?  Neil?  The other Neil?  The other Scott?  Gideon?  Even Ramona is pretty awful, when you break it down, though she’s somewhat moreso in the original comics.  Maybe it’s just the perspective of an old man watching young folks figure things out (though my daughter agrees that the entirety of fictional Toronto is a jerk), leading to today’s young adult query…

    The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) reminds Faithful Spoilerites that I love the movie anyway, and the soundtrack even more, asking: Who is the actual WORST person in ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World?’

    Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.

      Scott Pilgrim, because we have to spend all the time with him. Every other not-so-great person is only in snippets by comparison.

      Scott Pilgrim. Self centered , egotistical, and does what he wants no matter the consequence.
      He is the type of person(character) that I dislike in any format even reality.
