Image Comics is ready to release a new run of Hack/Slash in July and Michael Moreci, Steve Seeley, and Emilio Laiso are teaming for Hack/Slash: Son of Samhain.
As described by the publisher, “When a mysterious cult of monsters arises, Cassie is forced to return to the life she thought she’d left behind. Coupled with a new partner and faced with enemies unlike any she has battled before, Cassie must confront the darkness in the world—and in her own life—in new ways. The agents of evil never rest; unfortunately for them, neither does Cassie Hack. ”
The Hack/Slash series has had a very good run until Tim Seeley shuttered the series in March of 2013. While Tim Seeley is not involved in the project, Steve Seeley, Tim’s brother, is along with horror comic writer Michael Moreci.
“We made this to be enjoyed by current Hack/Slash fans but bring in the new as well,” said Moreci. “It’s sexy, fun, and scary, and Emilio’s art is out of this world!”
The last time we saw Cassie Hack was during the Army of Darkness crossover, and this announcement, which broke during the Emerald City Comic Con, should have fans scrambling to grab the first issue when it arrives in July.
