This week, Zach makes and offer you can’t refuse – discuss Francis Ford Coppola’s Godfather, or else.
The Godfather is a 1972 American crime film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by Albert S. Ruddy from a screenplay by Mario Puzo and Coppola. Based on Puzo’s 1969 novel of the same name, the film stars Marlon Brando and Al Pacino as the leaders of a fictional New York crime family. The story, spanning the years 1945 to 1955, centers on the transformation of Michael Corleone from reluctant family outsider to ruthless Mafia boss while also chronicling the family under the patriarch Vito Corleone.
The Godfather is widely regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema—and as one of the most influential, especially in the gangster genre. Now ranked as the second greatest film in American cinema (behind Citizen Kane) by the American Film Institute, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 1990.

Donnie Brasco is the movie Matthew was thinking of with Johnny Depp. Also while the mob isn’t a central focus, True Romance does deal heavily with the criminal element.
ACTUALLY, (pushes glasses up nose) I believe the movie Matthew is thinking of, in which Johnny Depp plays John Dillinger, is called Public Enemies. And you’re not missing much by not having seen it.
