The 1990’s X-Men animated series is one of the few superhero cartoons that I’m familiar with, but even if I wasn’t I could still appreciate the work that went into recreating the open in stop motion. Take the jump to view all of the uncanny amount of work that went in to making this astonishing video.
X-Men Stop Motion Intro (1992) Theme Song ᴴᴰ
Before X-Men: Apocalypse and all of the other films from FOX… They brought us an amazing cartoon in the early 90’s! X-Men ’92 KYLE ROBERTSTWITTER: http://t…
It took the team over two months to complete all the rotoscope and animation work needed to put together the 4,000 pictures and 60 different backgrounds together. Also just as impressive, Zach Zellar and Collin Nance recreated the original theme song from scratch which you can download from Collin’s Sound Cloud page.
If you can’t get enough of the stop motion goodness make sure to head over to Kyle Robert’s YouTube page where he has more video goodness, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opening.

All I can hear during the theme song is Rodrigo singing “fighting and fighting and fighting some more!”
Classic!
Those guys’ most impressive superpower was getting that girl in their bedroom to make the video. She should’ve be scared for her life.
Pfft, you call that a geek bedroom? My bedroom is geekier than that.
But that was pretty good. I liked the TMNT one they did as well.
