Wonder Woman was a smash success for DC Comics and Warner Bros. and in an effort to get a new Wonder Woman to fans as fast as possible, the WB has announced the next Wonder Woman movie will arrive on November 1, 2019.
Originally, Warner Bros. had scheduled the Wonder Woman sequel for a December 13, 2019 release, but with Star Wars Episode IX opening on December 20, 2019, a seven day window to make as much money as it can was probably not a good idea. On the other hand, the new release date is only a week ahead of the 25th James Bond movie. While Bond will do fine, I don’t think Bond and Wonder Woman really compete with one another, so Wonder Woman should do fine, and give Bond a run for the money.
Patty Jenkins will return to direct the film, with Gal Gadot reprising her role once again as Wonder Woman.
