Major Spoilers Question of the Day: Defenders Edition

With the debut of The Defenders on Marvel Netflix, I believe that the nearly decade-long drought of Defenders material is finally going to be ameliorated, albeit not in the way that I’d hoped.  One of the earliest comics I can remember buying featured the Defenders (Doctor Strange, The Hulk, The Vision, The Scarlet Witch, The Beast, Nighthawk, Hellcat, The Gargoyle, The Silver Surfer, The Sub-Mariner, The Son Of Satan and Nighthawk) in battle against the Squadron Supreme and a sudden surprise guest-demon.  None of those guy are part of the current Defedners lineup, but I’m still happy to see the name back in use, making me hope that we might see Hellcat or Valkyrie (or even, dare I hope, an Elf With A Gun?) in play again, leading to today’s defensive query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would probably end up choosing Brunnhilde, The Valkyrie, a long-serving, long-suffering member of the team with a couple of cool costumes and one hell of a strong sword-arm, asking: Which of the Defenders, from any iteration, is the best Defender?
