1) THE JOKER’S MOST TERRIBLE DEATHTRAP
I admit it: I can’t even READ this scene (from John Byrne’s epic ‘Superman/Batman: Generations”) without shuddering. Dick Grayson, having taken up the role of Batman after Bruce Wayne’s retirement, is forced to deal with “Joker Junior”, and is slashed to ribbons by the villain’s most terrible death-trap of all. The fall is horrific to witness, and is shortly fatal for the former Robin, though his demise is hidden in-universe as Bruce Wayne’s son takes up the shredded mantle of the Bat. But, my gawd, what a terrible way to go…

Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.

I was just looking up Old Man Logan, now that was ridiculous – eating Wolverine should be on here… but also the indigestion afterwards. Very wrong.
