[Television] Charisma Carpenter joins cast of Lucifer

It’s no secret I’m a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumn Charisma Carpenter, and it has been announced the actress has now joined the cast of Lucifer, meaning I finally have a reason to watch the show.

Carpenter broke the news via her Instagram account.

So this is happening! @Luciferonfox. #HellsBells Season 2 premieres Sept. 19th You’ve been notified. 😈

She also shared a selfie with Lucifer star Tom Ellis.

Lucifer is based on the Vertigo character, Lucifer Morningstar, that appears in a number of comics, but most known for his antics in The Sandman series. Fox took the character to series in 2015, in which viewers discovered a devil “who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the beauty of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.”

Season 2 of Lucifer debuts on September 19th.
