Here’s your first look at the assembled Suicide Squad

Tast Force X is ready to go, according to Suicide Squad director, David Ayer who has released the first group shot of the team.

    tothewiki

The modern Suicide Squad (created by John Ostrander in Legends #3) is an antihero team of incarcerated supervillains who act as deniable assets for the United States government, undertaking high-risk black ops missions in exchange for commuted prison sentences. The group operates out of Belle Reve Penitentiary, under the directorship of Dr. Amanda Waller. The Suicide Squad’s existence helps to explain why many convicted villains in the DC Universe roam free without having heroes tracking them down—until they inevitably attempt or commit another crime.
This entry covers the various incarnations of the Suicide Squad (and the five associated monthly Suicide Squad comic book series) that exist throughout DC Universe canon, from its origins in the Silver Age, to its modern-day post-Crisis reimagining, to the current version that was introduced in the wake of DC’s New 52 continuity reboot, plus various television media and the upcoming Suicide Squad feature film, set to star Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, and Cara Delevingne.

Notice that the Joker isn’t present in this team photo? Seems like the Clown Prince of Crime may be the target, rather than part of the team.

Is there some unwritten rule in this movie that everyone must wear black?

i see some hits and misses. Katana looks best of the bunch to me, Harley seems to have at least right demeanor. Captain Boomerang needs a hat and maybe fingerless gloves and I wish Killer Croc was larger and more crocky. A mixed bag, but it was expected.

I’m not crazy about Enchantress’ look, but the rest is cool. Katana is spot on.

Enchantress looks so weird! I’m not liking her look at all.
Katana and Harley look pretty good, and Killer Croc looks exactly as I expected (although not as I wanted).
I’m still not convinced about Will Smith as Deadshot, but at least the costume looks good.

Not enough color. Sorry DC, but… your movies just look boring to me. I’ll stick to your TV ventures – you seem to know what you’re doing there.
