The studio put out a quick synopsis for the upcoming James Mangold Wolverine movie, but today the full synopsis has made its way to the internet. Just what will Logan be facing in Japan? Take the jump for more information.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
And there you have it. It is interesting to see how the different major studios all decided on doing stories around the tearing down of their main characters, i.e. Dark Knight Rises, Iron Man 3, and now The Wolverine. Knowing how long films take to come together I don’t think that there was any copying going on, it’s just too bad for Iron Man 3 and Wolverine because they will undoubtably be compared to Dark Knight Rises for similar ideas.
The Wolverine is set for a release on June 26, 2013.

Waiting to see what Disney will do with it, but I don’t really have high hopes for it.
