Okay, I’m always ragging on one movie studio for trying to ride on the coat tails of another studio: Witness the plethora of Wyatt Earp movies, Robin Hood movies, Magical kid movies, Sparkly Vampire Movies, Reinterpreted Fairly Tale movies etc. that are all released in lumps. But wishing for the studios to come up with original ideas doesn’t necessarily mean that every new idea is a good idea. The funny thing about this is that the book was originally promoted by a mini-movie which was released a few months before the book. Now the book is made into a movie. Maybe, with Tim Burton at the helm, the movie WON’T suck. But I won’t wait in line to buy tickets. A dumb idea is a dumb idea, no matter how Burton manages to pretty it up.

I’ll probably go see this, just to see how it coincides with the book. I enjoyed the book quite a bit.
Wolverine with a stove hat… and an axe!
I thought George Washington used an axe to kill vampires and cherry trees.
