It’s going to happen eventually, Portal, the video game is going to get the big screen movie treatment. Let’s hope that when it does, they tap Dan Trachtenberg to do it. A simply amazing short film, with some great special effects is worth taking the time to watch it again, and again.

That was pretty cool.
Quite impressive.
Nice!
She was a little old for Chell, but…. O_o… Wow, that was entertaining! Woooo! :D
OK Awesome!!! Love the music, that made the whole short.
valve needs to pick this up!
I thought it was Claudia Black at first.
This is outstanding work. I could definitely see more of this style of directing and the music matched it right on. The only I find depressing about this…The fact that all these good ideas that should be for feature length films are all being done by short film projects. If “The Raven” short film project could get picked up by the Studios, this definitely should.
I’d definitely watch it if it was a feature length film … and I didn’t even play portal. In fact this got me interested in enough that I’m gonna go and get the game!
Only problem I had was that she picked up the concepts of portalling far too fast. Everything looked awesome, but no one has that kind of spacial thinking within moments. It pushed to the point where it broke my belief.
I got the sense that she had been mindwiped previously, all the tally marks on the wall were hers. That’s why she suddenly remembers where the gun is.
This is win. I think Danielle Rayne is beautiful and embodies the strengths Chell’s character has in portal, even though she doesn’t look exactly like her. It might not even be Chell — it could be a different character in the same Portal Universe… I’m really impressed by this short.
Nice! Don’t worry though, when it gets a full length adaptation, somehow, someway Uwe Boll will get his hands on it.
