You guys are completely right, saying the economy is better is the best way to make it better. The perception of the economy is as important as the reality of it, one of the best things the Canadian government did to fix the economy was when they came out and say “the recession is over” (wasn’t technicaly true, but it helped make it happen). The economy is ruled by self fulfilling prophecies, you say it’s bad it’ll get worse because people are sheep and they’ll stop spending, you say it’s improving people will begin to spend again and it’ll get better or won’t be as bad.
The problem in the US is that the two party system prevents the government in place to say “the economy is better” without the other party screaming in a louder voice “the economy is crap because of the party in power!” and this mix message kills any economical growth that could have resulted.
In 2011 I’m looking forward to Marvel Vs capcom 3, Thor and hopefully a Celestial Crusade t-shirt with art by Adriana Ferguson (I got my credit card too late for the 1st t-shirt)
