When the screaming starts, hit the kill switch Of the three Atomic Robo story arcs we’ve been presented with so far, this one has been the one to really warp your mind to the point where you had better understand a little about theoretical physics, or know all the intricacies of Back to the Future 1, 2, and 3, plus the animated series, and that ride at Universal Studios in order to keep your sanity. It helps of course that the creators inject their likeness into the story to really tie it together nicely.

Red 5 has sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of Beautiful Creatures #1. The issue doesn’t arrive until September, but there is still plenty of time to order the full 48-page issue from your LCS.
The Doom that Came to Robo So here we go with the second installment of the Shadow from Beyond Time story line. If you thought the first issue didn’t have enough of the fighty-fighty, and the laughy-laughy, then you’re going to be pleased as Punch (although without the murder and infanticide), as Robo and Charles Fort attempt to bring down the monster Lovecraft with a roadster and a couple of lightning guns.

“Should an intense young man, or a wild-eyed gentleman ever approach you and mention the word “Tunguskaâ€, I want you to shoot them.†I didn’t realize my birthday and Christmas arrived on the same day this year, and I was even more surprised to discover that both of these major holidays fell in the last week of April. Someone must not have told Hallmark about the change, but at least Red 5 remembered to send a gift in the form of Atomic Robo: Shadow Beyond TIme #1.
Of all the issues coming out this week, Red 5 Comics is standing by with what I believe to be the most anticipated issue of the season – Atomic Robo: Shadow from Beyond Time. Atomic Robo is one of the best ongoing series out there, and if you haven’t picked up the adventures of this Tesla created automaton, now’s your chance.
Probably the best first week news of 2009 – Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener are working on getting the third and fourth volumes of Atomic Robo in our greasy little hands this year. Beyond that we’ve got Volume 3, Atomic Robo and the Shadow From Beyond Time coming up for pre-order in…uh…weeks? Months? Not 100% on that one. It’s soon though, I promise you that! And, yes, we’re doing another story for Free Comic Book Day this year. Look for that at your local retailers in May. Sign me up when that solicitation hits!
