Batman-on-Film is reporting on the scuttlebutt that is Harvey Dent. Apparently Liev Schreiber is out as the District Attorny in the upcoming Dark Knight film. So who is being considered? According to the site, Guy Pearce (who worked with Nolan on Memento) is under consideration. Lots of back and forth on this. If done right, whoever gets the nod, could end up with a lucritive multi-film deal for years to come. So who do you want? Schreiber, Pearce, or someone else? Comics Continuum has posted an interview with Yuri Lowenthal – the voice of Clark Kent/Superboy in the upcoming Legion of Superheroes cartoon. Here’s what I love about this incarnation of Superman: he’s not at all the leader. He’s not Mr. Confident. He’s actually pretty lost on many different levels. He’s at the point in his life where he knows he’s got these powers but is still kind of unclear about his role in the world and his mighty destiny. While doing PR for his upcoming film Candy, Heath Ledger let spill a couple of comments regarding his upcoming role as The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. It’s definitely going to stump people. I think it’ll be more along the lines of how the Joker was meant to be in the comics, darker and more sinister. But it’s obviously not going to be what Jack Nicholson did. It’s going to be more nuanced and dark and more along the lines of a Clockwork Orange kind of feel. Booster Gold Memorial Issue Today we mourn the loss of Booster Gold. He went out with a bang – literally. Week fifteen finds Booster Gold at his lowest point. His sponsors have all backed out, bills are overdue, and Supernova is taking all his glory. Instead of going the route of Ralph Dibny and putting a gun to his mouth, Booster shows he is a true superhero when a submarine accident in midtown Metropolis gives him hope of redeeming himself.
Kryptonsite has a slew of spoilers for the new season of Smallville. Last we saw Clark, he was banished to the Phantom Zone while Zod/Lex began causing havoc on Earth. If you didn’t get a chance to go to San Diego this year, you missed the panel on the fourth season of The Batman (currently on Kids WB). Someone has posted the entire preview over at YouTube and you can catch all of the new characters and some interesting tidbits. Looks like there will be a future episode story that takes place in 3027 and 2027, as well as the introduction of Nightwing, Oracle, Mothman, and Harley Quinn.
