Matty Collector has announced the Adam Strange/Starfire six-inch action figures two-pack for the DCU Universe Classic series goes on sale January 15, 2009 at 12:00 PM. The Mattel DC Universe Classics Wave 6 is in stores now – if you can find them, I swear my local Target is just now getting Wave 2. Complete figure rundown after the jump.
If you haven’t been keeping tabs of Sillof and what he’s doing in the custom action figure arena, you’ve already missed out on his Justice League by Gaslight. For a while now, he’s been working on the Avengers, and he’s completed both Thor and Iron Man. This was designed as a companion piece of sorts to my Gaslight Justice League. I am actually more of a Marvel fan then a DC fan.  The line is Victorian in nature, with slight industrial elements, and a flair of the American West of the 1800’s. It is all designed to be a little…
I can’t believe this collection is already up to the 8th wave – I’m still trying to get my hands on a complete 2nd Wave set! With each preview I receive, I get more excited about this line, especially the build a figure feature. I know it isn’t a new concept, but it is for DC figures, and the one in Wave 8 is a knockout. Check out all the figure images after the jump!
This isn’t as strange as the Marvel DCU that seems to throw everyone whenever it is mentioned on the site. Instead, these are custom Watchmen figures cobbled together from the Marvel Legends line. Looks pretty cool, even if The Comedian’s mustache features a bit of super-cheese. Want your own figures? They’re up for auction on eBay right now (ends January 4, 2009) for $500. via Mike Sterling’s Progressive Ruin
Underground Toys is set to release three new 5-packs featuring Doctor Who and his enemies in that weird kid-friendly style. More after the jump.
Man, I wish these had been ready for the holidays of this year. Instead, I’m going to have to wait until 2009 to send my Major Spoilers Minions to the toy stores looking for these awesome figures. Take the jump for the three packs, and the Justice League Unlimited Fan Collection figures.
I finally had a chance to catch an episode of Batman: Brave and the Bold this past weekend, and now I’m curious about what the action figures will look like. A quick search of the Interweb Nets and the answer is found in the form of Mattel’s packaging for the upcoming Brave and the Bold line.
Wow! Just saw this come up on the Mattel Matty Collector website. Amanda Waller gets her own figure in 2009!. We already revealed quite a lot at SDCC 2008 of our 2009 line up, but wanted to give everyone a little holiday treat before the New Year. Take a gander at the image below! We are not revealing where this figure fits into the line-up quite yet, but you will see her in the first half of 2009! via Matty Collector
My guess is probably not, but check out Hasbro’s new Thor/Transformer action figure. It may look like the Norse god of Thunder, but throw in those special sound effects that only you know how to make, and guess what it turns into?
Triad Toys has announced pre-orders for its Soul Caliber 4 12-inch Taki figure is currently going on at the company website. Slated for an end-of-March 2009 release, Taki will come with the updated Otaku 1.2 body with metal pinned hips as well as the highly anticipated Bullet Time display stand. Keep your eyes peeled for more characters from the Soul Calibur 4 line-up in the coming months! In addition to the game figure pre-order announcement, Triad Toys also announced plans to bring John Carter of Mars figures to market. The complete solicitation is after the jump. I’m sure you’re already…
Man, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen something from It’s Just Some Random Guy, but he finally got around to completing the next chapter for Happy Hour.
Press Release (BALTIMORE, MD) — (November 4, 2008) — With Marvel Studios’ The Incredible Hulk out on DVD and Blu-ray, those revisiting the action can now add the Jade Giant to their collections, thanks to Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles (DST) the Marvel Select: The Incredible Hulk action figure. Featuring 14 points of articulation and a deluxe “rubble†base, the figure can be displayed in a wide variety of ready-to-battle poses. The…
Hasbro and Previews have teamed up for two exclusive Star Wars Mighty Muggs available only in comic shops. That’s pretty cool news for those of us who don’t have a Target and refuse to shop at Wal-Mart. The two exclusives will feature the likenesses of Admiral Ackbar, and the Empire’s elite Shadow Stormtrooper. Each figure sells for $19.99, and both are available now. via Diamond Comic Distributors
