I finally had a chance to catch an episode of Batman: Brave and the Bold this past weekend, and now I’m curious about what the action figures will look like. A quick search of the Interweb Nets and the answer is found in the form of Mattel’s packaging for the upcoming Brave and the Bold line.

We already revealed quite a lot at SDCC 2008 of our 2009 line up, but wanted to give everyone a little holiday treat before the New Year. Take a gander at the image below! Triad Toys has announced pre-orders for its Soul Caliber 4 12-inch Taki figure is currently going on at the company website. Slated for an end-of-March 2009 release, Taki will come with the updated Otaku 1.2 body with metal pinned hips as well as the highly anticipated Bullet Time display stand. Hasbro and Previews have teamed up for two exclusive Star Wars Mighty Muggs available only in comic shops. That’s pretty cool news for those of us who don’t have a Target and refuse to shop at Wal-Mart. The two exclusives will feature the likenesses of Admiral Ackbar, and the Empire’s elite Shadow Stormtrooper. DC Direct has announced a new production run of the 1:6 scale deluxe Joker collector figure. The figure has been sold out for a while, and with the success of the Dark Knight movie, the company is trying to meet demand. Diamond Select Toys has unveild a new line of quarter scale figures at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. The figures will hit store shelves at the end of the year, with Darth Maul being the first figure. All figures are fully articulated, include a sound chip, and will sell for $80. I’m sure it isn’t a literal ton of toys – well, maybe it is, I haven’t weighed the average action figure lately – in any case, Hasbro as announced several new toy lines at the San Diego Comic-Con.
