I thought this guy was called the Sentry…?
@Josh
Dont you know? Under the mask its Cal-Eel the last son of Crypto..graphy.
whats with the return of capes all of a sudden to marvel u?
What’s with people thinking more stories similar to the Sentry are a good idea ? Cause I know I love fake characters from back in the day coming back in to continuity and everyone kinda forgetting about them but still loving them because of that great bachelor party or kickin’ wedding reception
The 60’s were the Golden Age???
For Marvel it was…
This guy was actually the guy that the Sentry returned as once before after he’d been a really cool hero of the Golden Age but had to disappear because of the Void but eventually had to reappear to save the world under this new guise.
He had to disappear under this guise, too, and make us all forget about it, apparently, because of his other other fractured part of his personality, with which he’s seen doing battle in the previews above (though that won’t be revealed for several months).
But, then when humanity was on the brink of collapse, not due to the financial markets but due to a mild break-out at a superhuman prison, the Sentry was forced to emerge from decades of self-imposed exile from appearances in comics so that he could tear Carnage in half and then spend the rest of his re-emergence standing around and looking clueless or flinging things into the sun.
Now that the Sentry has disappeared again (because of the Skrulls), he’s going to eventually have to reappear again to save the Avengers under his new old guise which is really his old new guise that we never knew about because he’d made us all forget.
Get it?
Jacin…. Are you cribbing plots from discarded X-issues??? That sounds pretty marvellicious to me~!
(and no, I’m not exactly an X-hater — they just run CONVOLUTED plots….)
