Recently, I ended up marathoning the entire first (and only) season of Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous, an MTV offering from 2013 starring Bo Burnham. It was actually really enjoyable, moreso than most cringe comedies tend to be, and featured Thomas F. Wilson/Biff in a supporting role. There were a dozen other cameos and appearances that made it fun, but the heart of it all was Bo as Zach, determined to be famous if it kills him. I wish I had watched it at a time when others were aware of it, though, which leads us to today’s delayed gratification query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) even got a Milana Vayntrub guest-shot, which makes every show just a little bit better, asking: What favorite piece of media are you MOST sorry you were late to the party for?

I caught ‘Pushing Daisies’ about 5 year after it was cancelled. It surprised me how good it was.
Mobile Suit Gundam, some 20 years late. For a long time I thought its superficial “kids yell a lot and fight with cool robots” thing and nothing else, like Dragon Ball or such.
Turns out, its one of the most influential scifi franchises ever, right there with Star Treks and Wars and most of the time way beyond both of them in terms of commenting war, colonialism, politics, technological advancement, transhumanism and human evolution. Yeah, really has kids yelling with cool robots, but that’s a tiny fraction of it.
Most of the “modern” Star Trek series, from TNG onward. TOS had always been around more as a cheesy kitschy late night throwback, ala the Adam West Batman, but I didn’t really glom onto TNG til maybe 5 or 6 years ago, having previously thought it looked too dated and of its time (why would the bridge have carpeting and upholstered seats and wood railing? Jeez, 1987), but once i settled into its actual themes and got used to the characters, i started loving it.
Voyager and DS9 i didn’t really dive into til the past couple years, which….i sort of wish i didnt have the time to consider watching the spinoffs, but eh. Gotta make the most out of never leaving the apartment ever again, i guess
Game of Thrones, I watched on DVD about a year delayed after each season, meaning the big twists/surprises were long-since spoiled. Still a good watch, but less shock value from things like the Red Wedding.
