Now that all the Marvel Netflix shows have been cancelled, I have a chance to finally catch up with Jessica, Luke and the endless fights in hallways. But one thing I’ll never be interested in is Punisher’s solo series, as he will always be a villain to me. No matter how many movies, how many TV shows or solo books he has, he’s always gonna be that guy who tried to shoot Spider-Man and intended to put bullets in jaywalkers, leading us to today’s skeletal query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) has a similar problem with Poison Ivy in the DCU, although there are some really good stories that feature her as an anti-hero, asking: Which character will always be a villain to you, no matter how long it’s been since their heel/face turn?

Probably Venom. It was a murderous space monster about 3-4 of my first Marvel comics reading years. Can’t be undone.
Magneto. Everytime he tries to do right he goes further off the edge.
I don’t have one, I’m a sucker for a good redemption story. I love it every time a villain switches sides. By the same note, I love a good face/heel turn too.
In my world, the best villains are former heroes, and the best heroes are former villains.
