Major Spoilers Question of the Day: The Movie Version Edition

The question of how your favorite heroes will weather the adaptation to movie form has always been a little bit fraught for me as a fan.  The detective of Gotham City might turn into a camp avenger in a silk mask, while The Punisher might become a generic action hero with nothing interesting about him.  Recent years have actually turned this worry on its head, giving us a movie Tony Stark who is much more fun than the jerk in the comics, updating Spider-Man in fun, interesting ways and even making some kind of sense of Star-Lord, leading us to today’s flip-flop-swappy query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would absolutely like to see movie Ian McKellen Magneto, if only to get rid of some of the massive retcons in his background, asking: If you could swap in the movie version of any single character to their TV, comic book or literature adventures, which one would you substitute?
