When Captain America throws his mighty shield! All those who chose to oppose the shield must yield! And it doesn’t matter who’s under the mask, either… Welcome to Ten Things!
Whooshman-Bicarbonate Films, in conjunction with ‘An Amateur Comics Historian’ and Simon & Kirby, Presents:
TEN CAPTAINS AMERICA (WHO AREN’T STEVE ROGERS!)
10) CAPTAIN AMERICA (Carl Zante)
An extremely minor foe of the Human Torch, The Acrobat once used the guise of Captain America to commit robberies under the expectation that the legendary hero wouldn’t be part of a criminal enterprise. Noteworthy for involving a cunning plan to douse the Torch’s flame using a damp mop (which, it must be noted, actually worked), Zante’s sole outing as Captain America was pretty clearly a trial balloon by writer Stan Lee for the revival of the actual Captain America just a few months later….

No Bucky/Winter Soldier run of Cap? Was this due to it being too dark of a run of Cap?
