Even several years down the line, I’m still fascinated by the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special, with its multi-Doctor tale and all the lovely character interactions that such stories entail. (The last one I really loved, “The Five Doctors”, came out at a time before affordable home video re-viewing options, so I only got to enjoy it in occasional reruns.) Having revisited it again recently, I was struck by the fact that, after his interactions with the elderly looking War Doctor, The Eleventh Doctor went from the physically youngest incarnation in his history to one who once again carried the gravitas of a human in his 50s. Was there some intent on his part to recapture his former white-maned days of glory? I’d certainly like to think so, leading us to today’s generational query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would absolutely choose old, because people are less likely to question even the goofiest theory, if it comes from a seemingly old and wise mouth asking: Given the option to choose your own “next incarnation,” would you wish to look old or young?

I really don’t have an age preference exactly, just so long as it isn’t some teenager or something. I would go something middle ground, not so old to be an “elderly” Doctor, but not so young that he looks inexperienced, somewhere between mid-30’s and mid-40’s.
I would be alright with older fellow for a change but It doesn’t matter to me that much as long as he fits the role. Anything goes from 30’s up to me, as long as he can still move around and do some physical acting.
I would have to say older 45 to 50. Not only for your reasons but no one will question you when you want to buy alcohol, or do something no one should question you. Also you can pull of distinguished which the ladies love!!
Young, I’m probably biased as I’m only 19 so I cant really say what being old is like but I just feel like I’d prefer it.
I’ll vote young. Watching Capaldi is like work ,even when he was trying to be fun it was like work. Then again it could be just him.
