By now, you’ve probably heard the news that NBC has decided to pass on a second season of Constantine. Fans, and producers, are both hoping the show will land at another network, leading us all to a happily ever after moment.
But what network?
With CW running many of the Warner Bros./DC Comics properties, it seems to be the front runner, though SyFy’s name has been dropped a time or two due to the NBC tie, as well ask the coming Krypton series.

I chose “other” since non-network options like Netflix and Hulu weren’t available.
I would prefer either of those or a cable network rather than, say, FOX or CW. While I enjoyed the series, I think the source material would flourish better without the rules of regular network TV. “The Flash” and “Arrow” are fine on CW because they don’t need to be too dark or freaky, but Constantine was a mature/dark character with plenty of mature/dark themes. Network TV has done some decent series touching on those themes (like “Supernatural” or “Buffy”), but they still had to fit in the rules of the channels they were aired on.
The only cable channel I’m iffy about is Syfy. Don’t get me wrong, they have done some series justice, like when they took over the “Stargate SG-1” series from Showtime, but they have also had a few that they took over and made into something completely different than the original (such as “Sliders”, which was revived by the Sci-Fi Channel after being cancelled on FOX, but lost a lot of the charm of the original premise with an almost completely altered focus).
I voted FOX. I believe that there could be a good tie in with Gotham, with a lot of the creepy shows on there like “The Following” I think it would do good there. Also I believe in order for it to have good ratings and fan access, it needs to stay off of paid premium channels. Torchwood did well on Starz but has not been back. But SyFy is a close 2nd, the way they market their shows and show old episodes before the new ones, as well as throughout the week and weekend would be prime and get people hooked on the show.
I voted AMC. Since AMC chose to make a play with Preacher, perhaps giving them another Vertigo title might be a good thing?
Also, having it on a cable network instead of a broadcast network would give them some leeway in how much mature content they could use.
I think Netflix or Amazon should pick up this show. They should be options IMHO.
I choose AMC because I think that Constantine could do better with a bit darker focus than it had on NBC.FX would work well as well. I don’t want CW because as much as I love The Flash Constantine would not do well with the teenage romance angle all CW shows have.
I think Netflix so I picked Other.
They could not only give it the time and effort it deserves but also wouldn’t be quiet so bound as the other networks, just look what there doing on there own with daredevil and other shows!
Dude. Netflix. Networks aren’t the way to go with these. Netflix pumped out the single best comic book TV adaptation yet (Daredevil), and their originals are consistently pretty good. I’d love to see it find a home on Netflix. More than any TV network.
