DC has just announced its next big company wide event following Blackest Night. Naturally it will be called Brightest Day. The series will kick off in April as a bi-weekly, 26-issue series written by Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi.
My guess is the next big story after Brightest Day will be “No Evil Shall Escape”, which will be a series similar to “Run”, and so on.

Perhaps this will be good. I am so weary from the fact that all comics only seem to be written for the sake of events and crossovers and not for the sake of a good stand-alone issue.
I understand the marketing reasoning behind that. But I miss X-Men basketball games, watching Janet van Dyne go shopping, and similar downtime activities.
Don’t forget those “beach” issues which only point is to ogle the girls in their swimsuits. ;p

Right now if you were only reading Blackest Night, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corp it is essentially a 24-part bi-weekly event written by Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi.

I hope it’s about how people can’t die anymore and how the heroes have to bring death back to the multiverse before the balance is completely destroyed.
So the DC blog shows that this is part of a “DCU: Rebirth” storyline that will cross into a whole bunch of other series and that will lead to — guess what — ANOTHER new JLA lineup???
I don’t see how any writer can handle all the storylines being thrown out by the editorial staff….. When do they get a chance to write their own material?
